The game turned out to be one-sided where the Rebels asserted their dominance. The representatives from the SEC took control with a 26-0 lead at halftime and smoothly secured a 43-24 victory in the second half. Matt Corral, the quarterback for the Rebels, showcased an impressive performance, throwing for 381 yards and a touchdown on 22-32 completions. Moreover, wide receiver Dontario Drummond had a standout performance with nine receptions for 177 yards and a touchdown. Lane Kiffin, the head coach of Ole Miss, was absent from the sidelines during the win, but he surely would have been pleased with the performance, except for the four ejections due to targeting fouls that occurred in the game.
