Blues Beat Bruins In Brutal Game 5

The St. Louis Blues moved one win away from their first Stanley Cup triumph after a 2-1 win over the Boston Bruins on Thursday gave them a 3-2 lead in the National Hockey League’s best-of-seven championship.

St. Louis Blues left wing David Perron scored the game winner with just over 10 minutes left in the game. Bruins fans littered the ice in protest over a missed penalty call by officials moments before. Blues forward Tyler Bozak tripped Bruins forward Noel Acciari who fell backward slamming his head on the ice. Officials didn’t call a penalty. Play continued and Perron scored.

The St. Louis Blues have a chance to win the first Stanley Cup in franchise history in game 6 in St. Louis on Sunday at 8pm ET.
