Week 12 Of NFL: Ravens Beat Browns & Rams Face Third Straight Defeat By Pack

Many people have argued that the easiest way to tell if a team is championship material is to look at their results when they aren’t performing at their best. Based on their triumph on Sunday during Week 12 of the NFL season, the Baltimore Ravens could just be ready to be champs. That’s because they didn’t play particularly well but still managed to beat the Cleveland Browns 16-10. Although Lamar Jackson threw four interceptions, the Ravens finished the weekend with an 8-3 record and control of not only their division but also the whole league.

If they win out from here, which does seem a bit unlikely albeit not impossible, they will be the top seed in the AFC. The highlight of this game had to be Mark Andrews’ ridiculous catch that set up a TD drive in the third quarter, putting them in control for good. Elsewhere, the Green Bay Packers were making a statement as they took down the Los Angeles Rams 36-28, handing the Rams their third straight defeat in the process. Green Bay is always strong at home, and this was further proof as they took their record to 5-0 at Lambeau as Aaron Rodgers led the way with 307 yards passing and two touchdown tosses. Davante Adams made eight catches for 104 yards as well in a win that wasn’t quite as close as the scoreline suggests due to the fact that Green Bay led 36-17 after three quarters. The loss saw LA drop to 7-4 and the Pack improve to 9-3. Still in the thick of the NFC race. The same can be said of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following their 38-31 comeback win in Indianapolis over the Colts. Down 24-14 at the half, Leonard Fournette reminded everyone he was still one of the best running backs in the league by inspiring his team back into the contest. He scored four touchdowns in all in the game, with the final one coming from 28 yards with 20 seconds left to put his team up. Tampa, like Green Bay, is also 8-3 and well within the mix for that coveted top seed.
