A photo posted by Khamzat Chimaev on social media has raised concerns among his supporters.
The UFC middleweight challenger has been encountering obstacles in his recuperation from his previous bout against Kamaru Usman at UFC 294, during which he sustained numerous injuries.
Chimaev sustained a torn ligament in his right hand and initially aspired to avoid surgery, but eventually had to undergo the procedure.
During an Instagram Live session, he announced, “I will be undergoing surgery in a week or two. Following that, I’ll embark on the recovery process and make a strong comeback against an opponent.”
After his surgery, the unbeaten sensation shared a hospital photo, looking almost unrecognizable.
He provided a caption in his native language, expressing his determination to resume training and demonstrate his prowess as the best, before ultimately removing the post.
We wish him a speedy and complete recovery.
