Consecutively, the American League All-Stars keep securing triumph in the MLB All-Star Game. The exceptional performance of game MVP Vlad Guerrero, Jr. deserves all the praise as they clinched an eighth victory against the National League. The game’s spotlight was on the second-generation player when he smashed a solo home run for 468 feet, which led to a 2-0 advantage for AL in the top of the third inning. Prior to that, Aaron Judge was brought in by Marcus Semien’s infield single.
Guerrero, Jr. then made a ground out in the top of the fifth inning to bring in another run, ultimately securing his MVP title. Xander Bogaerts subsequently singled in the same inning, extending AL’s lead to 4-0, before JT Realmuto hit a solo home run for the NL in the same frame. However, Mike Zunino countered with another solo shot in the top of the sixth inning, reinstating the three-run lead. The scoring in Denver was concluded in the bottom of the sixth as Manny Machado scored on a passed ball. The game ended with a 5-2 scoreline, with Shohei Ohtani, the starting AL pitcher, claiming the win, Corbin Burnes enduring the loss, and Liam Hendricks registering the save.
