It’s not often that we get to see NFL games on a Tuesday night, but we got two of them on Tuesday night, both at the same time. One of those games was won by the Los Angeles Rams, who defeated the Seattle Seahawks 20-10 to improve to 10-4 and come closer to catching the Arizona Cardinals, who are now tied for first place in the NFC West. The first touchdown of a hard-fought game didn’t come until the third quarter when DeeJay Dallas’ four-yard rush put the Seahawks ahead.

The Rams then took control, with Matthew Stafford leading two eighty-plus yard drives that led to TD’s and an additional field goal at the end to give them some breathing space. All in all, Stafford had two touchdown tosses and 244 yards in the win. Seattle’s loss saw them fall to 5-9, so a playoff berth is looking virtually impossible now. In the other contest, the Washington Football Team came up short to the Philadelphia Eagles, leaving their playoff hopes up in the air much like Seattle’s. The Eagles’ 27-17 home win was keyed by the play of quarterback Jalen Hurts’ three touchdown evening. Two of them came on the ground and one in the air as he amassed well over 300 yards of total offensive output. Dallas Goedert was his favored receiver, making seven grabs for 135 yards in an impressive display that took the Eagles to 7-7 on the year. They are three off Dallas in the NFC East, but they remain in the hunt for Wild Card spots following the close-to-must-win showdown.
