Kelly Stuns Notre Dame With Switch To Tiger’s

If sources are to be believed, and they usually are right these days on most things, Brian Kelly is headed out of the door and on his way to LSU. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish’s head coach for the last 12 seasons now has decided to get a change of scenery, and that means a move to the SEC to become the next Tigers’ coach.

With 113 victories, the 60-year-old is the winningest coach in program history, having led the club to the national title game once and the College Football Playoff twice since 2018. This year, his squad finished 11-1 in the regular season, with their only defeat coming at home against Cincinnati. Kelly will be the first coach in school history to quit one team for another, and he will do so at a time when the Irish are still in contention for a top-four spot.
