You need your star to lift you up and carry you every now and again. That was the situation for the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night when they went on the road to face the Charlotte Hornets, who were shorthanded but nonetheless motivated. Embiid and company were forced into overtime after being pushed hard by Kelly Oubre, Jr.’s latest outburst of 35 points, but in the end, it was their hands being lifted in triumph thanks to their star center’s brilliance.

Embiid posted 43 points and grabbed 15 rebounds while also dishing out seven assists, getting the Sixers to 13-11 on the season in the process following the 127-124 result. Elsewhere, we go to see Giannis celebrate his 27th birthday with a victory, leading the Milwaukee Bucks over the Cleveland Cavaliers at home by scoring 27 points and grabbing 12 boards. Young had 29 points and 11 assists for the victors while the T-Wolves saw Karl-Anthony Towns play very well with 31 points and 16 rebounds. They snapped a two-game losing skid with the ‘W.’
