The CFP Field Is Officially Set In Stone

The College Football Playoff has been fixed in stone. And there was no drama on Sunday when the top four teams were chosen by the selection committee. To be sure, it is a rarity in college football, but it was a pleasant one this season since there were four teams who deserved to play for the national title.

The number one seed was announced to be the Alabama Crimson Tide after they staked their claim by trouncing Georgia in the SEC title game on Saturday. They learned that they will be taking on #4 Cincinnati, the lone remaining unbeaten team in the nation, and the AAC champs. In the other match-up, #2 Michigan will take on #3 Georgia. Michigan is on a roll after hammering Iowa in the Big Ten title game while Georgia will look to rebound from their defeat of the season to the Tide. Both games will take place on New Year’s Eve and the national title game will be on January 10th in Indy as the two victors clash.
