Breaking: Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver Hints at Imminent Departure on Twitter (TWEET)

The Steelers have officially entered the offseason following their 2022 playoffs miss, but their commendable late-season efforts ensured a winning year above .500.

Rumors suggest the team is contemplating parting ways with a seasoned wide receiver.

A cryptic tweet from Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver Anthony Miller this week suggests that his tenure with the team may be nearing its end. Miller’s message of gratitude to Pittsburgh often precedes a player’s release.

Veteran wide receiver Anthony Miller took to Twitter, stating, “Expressing my gratitude, Pittsburgh” followed by a black heart emoji.

While Miller’s tweet stirs speculation, the Steelers are yet to confirm any official decision.

Miller joined the Steelers’ practice squad in October 2021, with hopes of contributing to the offense in 2022. Unfortunately, a shoulder injury placed him on the IR in August last year. Despite this setback, the Steelers extended Miller’s contract for a year in January 2023, envisioning him as a key slot receiver contender for his third season with the team.

Turning 29 this October, Miller failed to see any game time last year for the Steelers, tallying a single catch for two yards in a November match against the Bengals in 2021.

Before his tenure in Pittsburgh, Miller, a former second-round pick of the Chicago Bears, showcased his skills in 47 games, amassing 134 receptions, 1,564 yards, and 11 touchdowns across three seasons.

Fans are now eagerly anticipating the official news of his departure and the implications it holds for the wide receiver lineup.
